Ask Timorese or West Papuans about our big northern neighbour. Cleaning up an image over recent years to be more palatible for Western consumption doesn't change the underlying character traits.

Are we? Or are the Western leaders, companies and elites as the beneficiaries of the patriarchal status quo flexing their autocratic fantasies. Wealth, power and dominance is something they don't want to give up and the people are demanding they share.
