Many decades ago I attended Episcopal convent school & saw no shortage of true faith in the students or, obviously, the nuns. The denomination isn’t as popular now as the conservative churches but that says much more about society than about Episcopal faith. Tbh a lot of Americans are authoritarian.

“I joined the Catholic Church because I want to be like JD Vance and Jordan Peterson” is all the rage among exactly the sort I avoid. They seem to want some sort of prosperity gospel but classier, with better esthetics, along with God-approved patriarchy.
