β€œSperm whales live in matrilineal groups: grandmothers, mothers and daughters. Females stick together, while males set out on their own in their mid-teens… Roughly half of the whales present during the birth were not directly related to her.”

We need to consider a return to matriarchy, tbh.

I doubt they could do a worse job than the Patriarchy, so let's give it a shot.

This doesn’t sound like matriarchy exactly.

It sounds like they send the males out into isolation when they get too big and horny.

That has worked so well for human males.

that's a great point, but what would a matriarchal society look like in practice, and how would we get there?

We need to consider behaving humanelyβ€” as we would hope that to be.

It's honestly the only way because the Patriarchy gives us Epstein rings and sick societies that harm everyone, even men. The only "winners" are the tops of all the hierarchies that lean on each other in order to operate. In our case: patriarchy, capitalism, white supremacy.

Trade proposal:

Women get matriarchy

Men get to refer to themselves as β€œthe sperm whale”

A lot of large mammals are matrilineal: whales, elephants, horses... the group is established around the care and protection of the young and mothers. Humans are the terrible exception to the rule
