Yes an American government embarking on a joint operation invading Iran with a partner nation would be recklessly derelict if it were to fail to consider the partner’s motivations, purposes, and aims.

I also think Trump habitually fails to do that and in fact he lacks the *capacity* to do so

Sure. I'm not talking about Trump's subjective life, I'm talking about Snyder's analysis. For Snyder to leave out an entire government in trying to game out what is happening is really questionable.

Right but Professor Snyder is trying to model the Trump administration’s strategy, construing these various acts as part of an overall planned course of action by them.

I think that’s predicated on a serious error. NETANYAHU has strategic aims. Trump just has whims and appetites.
