Yes - I know this.

Consider War Powers Authorization takes 60 votes in the Senate to grant. This gives the Democrats control. Impeachment and removal takes 67 to enact and needs Republican votes.

I would rather argue the POTUS has violated the WPA. That’s clearly impeachable.

WPA is a 1st step

War crimes are clearly impeachable, everything he has does is impeachable.

I agree - but does the GOP majority agree?

In practical terms, it seems to me Trump violating WPA - a congressional law - is more of a straight shot. It gives GOP MoC’s more cover for the right vote in Jim Jordan’s committee

@edmarkey.bsky.social has called for his removal.

All senators should be doing the same.

It isn’t that difficult or brave.

Again - I agree with what you are saying but Klobuchar’s path is the quickest.

POTUS is allowed to do emergency military actions - without declaring war - but that allowance ends after 60 days. At that time Congress has to vote to Authorize War Powers.

Klobuchar is using the law …

Can you get 60 votes before the war crimes are committed at 8 pm tonight?

Probably not - since Congress is out of session. But it’s the best chance as far as I can see.
