A 'say' but not the controlling decision I think?
Millions of us had a 'say' when we took to the streets and it made not one whit of a difference.

But it was debated in parliament so parliament had a say, the fact is the majority of MPs were for it, if the majority had been against it it wouldn't have happened. 1 million people marching (not millionS) out of 65 million isn't going to be taken seriously on any subject
