I sort of have the feeling that by now many judges go into a hearing just assuming that the administration did something illegal yet again.

At first they seemed so slow, because they were giving the regime the benefit of the doubt. Now they just nope it.

Now if only SCOTUS would catch up.

In my view, judges are at their smartest when they put the ball back in the litigants’ court. Make the litigant do something: if they do something competently, they might get some relief. If they do something incompetently or don’t do anything at all, it’s easy to deny relief.

Hagerstown is a semi-rural area of Maryland with a high poverty rate, as well as being known for the need of public benefits for its residents. It is one of the more conservative areas of MD.
Of course, the regime would think it could slip a detention center in there.
