Continuing my #Arcane rewatch today with episodes 5-6

Having seen some great and subtle cinema recently, it occured to me that Arcane really isn't that subtle. It's a big story with big moments and emotions.

But is it the width of the brush that determines the beauty of the art?

I love this show.

The same goes for Dune 2 this year. Nothing especially subtle about it and it is still such a powerful experience for me.

I guess I'm finding out subtlety is not an important quality for me. I like big swings and big hits or misses.

Nuances and subtlety are great, but sometimes I don't need them.
