Me to Jewish friends: Yeah, I'm pretty sure some of these 'limits' were definitely ignored by a lot of folks in the past, and are mostly just unnecessary gatekeeping.

The age limits were put in place fairly recently, in an effort to stamp out Sabbateanism.

I mean, regardless of when or why they exist, they're still ridiculous. But also I was just "yes and"ing the idea that maybe keep people who don't have a ton of context and think the talmud is evil away from the Zohar even if in most cases I think the gatekeeping is overblown.
