The pic reminds me that 3.5 million East Germans escaped to West Berlin before the wall was built. Perhaps those averse to risk stayed, and remained in the east. That region has great support for the AfD (fascist?). Reminds me of Ohio, W. Virginia where those risk averse support far right parties.
