Does anyone still think we’re going to commit tens of $B to fantasy road projects when we have to mop up from weather events every 6 months?

I still think they're gonna try, just like LNG doubling in price isn't making them rethink the import terminal...

I'm sure they'll find a creative way of splitting the "maintenance" budget (i.e. rebuilding the roads) from the budget for teh "oh-new-oh-shiny" roads.

Every 6 months? In Tauranga we just had the average rainfall for March (100mm) land within 4 hours - and 270mm has fallen yesterday and today.
