properly designed led headlights are fine. led headlight bulb replacements, on the other hand... those can burn.

No they are not fine. They are focussed to a line which, in a lab is fine, but in the reality of roads with bumps and hills mean they are repeatedly “flashing” every oncoming driver whose eyes are near the line. They also do not spill enough light for distance illumination without hi beams being on.

i have the misfortune of riding a motorcycle that, combined with my height, puts me right at the eye line of every huge truck with these things and there have been times where i legit cannot see anything in front of me but white light

there were two of them across from me in an intersection once
