Like the whole thing seems to be a bad faith game where a sentence is generated that justifies what israel is doing, there's no actual forward reasoning, it's all just backfitting

I say this having grown up in liberal Jewish spaces, and from that experience I think it is often quite quite sincere, in that people are trying to reconcile beliefs and values that are totally incompatible with each other, but it's also not really worth engaging with because it's irrational.

Maybe this is too mean, but sometimes I think these people are pro-two state solution in the way that Thomas Jefferson was pro-ending slavery---he wasn't lying about his beliefs, but it was a totally intellectual matter completely uncoupled from any actions he took in his life, so who cares?
