one red flag (for me) was the repeated way he pretends in interviews that he's not directly involved in the problems he causes

Or he never remembers the bullshit he's caused.

This really stood out to me the few times I have had the displeasure of hearing him speak. His strategy seems to be to agree every time a bad thing his company’s tech does is pointed out, as if that makes him sound reasonable, but then he implies someone else will figure out a solution.

I don’t know. For some reason it’s hard to trust a billionaire, particularly a tech bro.

Any thoughts on why stargate hasn’t been bombed yet? Maybe they waiting until it’s finished so it hurts more?

He's prime material for "CEO says ..." type articles.

All hot air, easy journalism, just regurgitate what he says and call it a day.

He's got all the creepy facial cues of a sociopath; I've always reacted to him with instinctive revulsion. Notably when he responds to questions about AI harms his expression is exactly like Oliver North during the Iran Contra hearings.
