1. Yeah, the Freeza stuff is dumb. Straight up.

2. Pilaf and gang are fun, for me, but I also think their addition is stupid and unnecessary. I'd have cut them out entirely if it were up to me.

3. Goku is weirdly arrogant. What the fuck is it with these movies and them fucking up Goku's character?

But I will say? I'm more neutral on Goku giving up. While I like the idea of him fighting to his last breath, I also respect him being able to admit when he's tapped out. There's an amount of self-awareness that comes with that which I appreciate.

I think I’d be more okay with him giving up if it wasn’t directly tied to “Goku has gotten arrogant and needs to learn a lesson”.

The last two people he fought was Boo, who he couldn’t beat alone, and Cell, who killed him.

Weird time to give him an arrogance arc.
