this wrecked me. the word is too freaking cruel.

When the funding of the state is left to the poor and working class, we are indeed in sorry shape. Fundraising for medical care is an abomination, but when it is in the "richest country on earth" that level of moral bankruptcy deserves to be shamed.

My friend, colleague, comrade wrote an excellent book and y'all should check it out.
