If, upon reading about Swalwell, your first instinct is to doubt the accuser or invoke Al Franken, you should ask yourself why that is.

And if you’re a woman, you should read up on Franken, as well as internalized misogyny.

It’s especially frustrating when WOMEN refuse to believe women. Internalized misogyny is absolutely real. And I hate that this is just more political hypocrisy.

the point about franken is that they are ALL abusers

Dem + Gop

throughout US history

yall just choose to get outraged about the Dem ones and let the GOP ones put their faces on the currency

the country was literally founded by rapists

even beloved kennedy was assualting the teenage intern

The only acceptable response is: @ericswalwell.bsky.social RESIGN.

Eight women came forward about Franken, for crying out loud.

If we are going to relitigate the Franken stuff again I am going to explode. Let the sex pest live in quiet obscurity. I don't want to hear about him again.

So much more work needs to be done if people fail to notice at this point. But what gets me is this: do you realize the powerful refusal to consider allows them, even gives permission to continue in a pervasive behavior permeating all our lives *without* consequence.

I just do not understand why people with that kind of baggage decide to run.

Because they genuinely don’t think they have done anything wrong

Retired LEO here. In my experience, no one has bigger balls than sexual predators, and child sexual predators are the worst of the worst. They have a high tolerance for risk. I’m guessing it’s sociopathy. No shame. They like doing it right under people’s noses.

I remember - there were photos, lots of stories, etc. Franken absolutely should have resigned. And so should Swallwell. Drop AND resign. & all these folks panicking - why??? His area is the bluest area of the state. Do they REALLY think Sheriff Steals Ballots or Trump's Best Buddy are gonna win?
