“French privacy-focused search engine Qwant struck a joint venture with German non-profit search engine Ecosia to develop a European search index. Called European Search Perspective (EUSP), the JV now aims to serve around 50% of French queries and 33% of German queries by the end of the year”

Been using Ecosia since the tree count was under 1m. Nothing about it not to like for 99% of normal users. It has been gradually improved over the years and ranks favourably with any other search engine.

Yep, I’m completely happy with it and not missing Google at all.

Hopefully it gets more visibility and users!

Is it any good? Pros and cons? Not being difficult, I use Duck Duck Go mostly.

I downloaded this morning, and still road testing.

It feels a bit more basic vs. Google, but is fine for ‘standard’ searches.

I really love the non-profit/eco approach, so that’s a big draw for me

I’m looking at European web browsers now so may settle on something else in the future
