They have not even once attempted to push for it. This could have easily been a plank in the DHS shutdown negotiations. If you have a real argument to make about why they couldn’t do anything and have to sit idly by I’d love to hear it

I tend to think the democrats could do a lot more to get their message out and build a compelling brand for the party. That they should propose a compelling vision for the country and not rely entirely on backlash, which will deliver them a skin-deep majority.
