Pete's been with us (nationally) for a while and he's been running for office for almost 20 years but I think the relative thinness of his resume gets glossed over. Popular small-ish town mayor and Secretary of Transportation is a step to ... ? Senator? Governor, maybe? But president?

The issue for him is he came from Indiana, which makes it difficult for him to move up.

He'd have to attempt it in his adopted home state of Michigan but he'd also have to get in line.
