I'm in the UK, tried to navigate Mastercard's maze of "press blah", but after settling for "payment dispute" it wanted my card number and then tried to redirect the call to my bank. Anyone have advice on getting through?

Generally good bets are:

Spamming 0
Following *any* line that may get to a real person (regardless of reason)
Once you get to a person you can be super polite/confused and go "I think I may have pressed the wrong

They'll transfer you if necessary + you can go from there!

(Obviously I should have continued through and suggested I might change bank if their payment processor is going to be so out of line, but I wasn't prepared for it.)
