She doesn't have any empathy for poor women because she can't relate to them as someone who identifies as formerly poor, but whose idea of being "poor" was staying with her upper middle class relatives while she was finding herself.

I can never understand why she does it. It makes no sense. She has the money to help thousands of women. But refuses to lift a finger to do so.

I genuinely can’t understand why she chooses to be a monster instead.

I think in part it's because she has dug herself so far down into the anti-trans hole, that to her, the only way out is to keep digging..

Probably because it isn't on the first pages of tabloids. The kind of necessary work that needs doing but won't make other rich, bored white people fawn over you.
