The maybe less obvious answer is that there is no anti-Trump network that has sufficient organizational capacity, or willingness, to assist students in organizing or protesting in a similar fashion.

SJP and FSJP are focused on Palestine. Their organizing and protesting hasn’t stopped, even if it has shifted tactics. The anti-Trump coalition is a completely different set of organizations, and have very different reasons for not setting up encampments or protests.

This all comes before you ask the question of what exactly students should demand of their institutions in terms of anti-Trump work? Not take federal grants? Those are getting cut anyway. Not take money from Trumpy donors? Where is your scholarship coming from, then?
