If only there were small naval vessels, like minesweepers, in the region that could be used for such a mission. Alas. Those are now in Philadelphia.

Yep in Philadelphia for decommissioned and dismantling. My husband served on the USS Florikan in Hawaii before it was decommissioned in 1991.i guess there still is a need for minesweeper go figure.
