It’s hard not to feel like there’s something wrong with me after two layoffs in less than a year. I’m struggling a bit right now but I reckon that’s part of it.

You’re well-liked and appreciated by total strangers on here. You’re doing something right just by being you.

Trying to balance that by reminding myself of all the good. I’ve got some incredible folks in my corner. I just married the love of my life.

It’s hard to see the light but I know it’s there.

I know it’s easy for me to say and hard for you to believe just because I said so, but hang in there. You have things that bring you joy and give you purpose apart from your job. Focus on those and the other thing will happen when it needs to.

I know from experience there are ebbs and flows after a layoff. You have to stay focused and don’t let the lows drag out and the harder part can sometimes be not letting the highs intoxicate you. You got this, just be you.

I feel this so deeply. I don’t know if it’s helpful but I started and lost a business and have had 4 short stints with jobs in the past 2 years before I landed in my current spot that’s perfect for me. It’s so annoying that the only way out is thru, but it’s gonna be worth it❤️

The most important thing on your life right now is your new bride. Take care of her first and foremost and you’ll be fine. You have the talent and the personality to be successful. Make her feel safe and cared for.
