Okay but having lived in Paris for a long time, the “old” quartiers are certainly charming, but absolutely atrocious to live in and navigate as a normal person 💀. Plenty of old Paris still exists! But, yah, it’s really not the best to live in in terms of basic QOL - unless you’re insanely wealthy.
