Last time it was an esports channel in 2020 that failed so hard it resorted to banning people for talking about war crimes & now they are trying again with a US Navy vtuber

This kind of recruitment effort through games & the communities attached to gaming has been an ongoing thing with them since at least 2002 with the game "America's Army" that the US army developed & published themselves.

They are all too keen to prey on kids/teens with propaganda & always have been

Saw an esports lounge on a RAF base earlier this year and I was like, β€œbullshit”. It was a nice setup but NO ONE was in there, lure tactic. Ofc they had War Thunder on the screens

How sad is it that I am not shocked about this? Like I am in my 30s, I have seen all the hard core post 9/11 recruitment bs, from portable ride things to "simulate" "Military ops" The video games that are low key recruiting, to games high key propaganda.

Like I was tricked into taking the ASVAB test being told it would help me pick my future job, zero mention of the military involvement and got harassed by them to join any military because I looked so promising on paper. -screams- so them doing this just...not shocked...was counting the days really
