You are definitely correct that he could and should have just corrected himself and said “oh OK. I didn’t mean it like this. I meant it like this”

But also, there are people who immediately jumped to telling him to kill himself.

Sure but again, you can just ignore/block/mute them. Making a frankly whiney call out post to an audience of hundreds of thousands is not what I would call responsible allyship.

Turns out people currently facing genocide and, by the looks of it, at least one being a survivor of this exact kind of abuse, have high emotions when it comes to abuse and genocide.

Mark Stern is a too online lawyer, if he's just finding out about mentally ill people with Bluesky accounts then he has incredible luck and should buy some lottery tickets.

Also, even if you feel bad about him dealing with that, only one is in the same state as a death threat. He's just quote posting people who thought he was full of shit, loud and proud, so his followers can go smack them... instead of just blocking

This is what i was tryna get at.

He made a small error (I honestly think it’s extremely obvious if you take it in good faith and think about his actual career what he’s referring to. It’s not like abuse is a hard line that we know exactly where it starts, and he realized that he got it wrong)

how much harassment did those accounts get because he posted their names to his 100k+ followers? two have already deactivated so we don't even know.

but hey it's only a problem when it happens to a person who matters right?
