At least some are journalists who are willing to put their credibility on the line for unsubstantiated assertions that "if I knew, Gallego knew" but not unsubstantiated assertions that "people keep telling me Swallwell is a sex pest" and boy howdy that's certainly one way to spend cred.

I'm sympathetic to the position journalists find themselves in, unable to say anything without solid evidence, I just wish (here, the exact same) journalists consistently found themselves so bound.

He was pretty indiscreet with young staff/interns/fellows in Sacramento, and it’s hard to say how far it went, because I’m the same age as he is, as are the two men in the screenshot, though if they all know, it makes Gallegos look sus.

It’s only a matter of time until screenshots come out.

Having been in a situation where I had constant second-hand rumors of a sex scandal at a local institution, but nothing solid enough to run with, it's infuriating. Most reporters just don't have the time to chase every ghost even when they want to.
