Parachutes on russian drones for when hit?

This is concerning.

Continued surveillance as they descend, delayed detonation?

Something just not right about this.

I was of the understanding that drones used for ISR tend to be recoverable, usually via parachute. So maybe they got one of those? Depends where it was downed I suppose

My first gut instinct is they might be pinging the location in an effort to try and locate air defenses.
