Huh, it's such a different animation style than SAC and 2nd Gig. I'll restrain myself from going all "they changed it so it's bad", maybe this will be very good?

I like it, it looks closer to the original Manga. Id be very interested to see if Motoko has her original hot-headed personality too!

They seem to be staying completely true to the og manga style, Oshii's and later versions of the universe had little to do with it (even if I prefer the 90s design myself)

Pretty much the old way of episodic story telling is sadly dead, plus kinda blame cpr cyberpunk game and edgerunners anime vastly changing cyberpunk genre expectations to younger gens.

Less noir/conspiracy, more guns blazing/teched out.

In way it’s kinda full circle.

At the time this tone/style was eh since most cyberpunk fans know blade runner and deus ex tone with that direction more popular. Now it’s reversed for either good or bad reasons for cyberpunk genre.
