The Rich start the wars, the poor fight them. Many people join the Armed Forces in hopes of a better life when they get out. Like the GI bill that pays for college after service. This is about remembering those people who lost their life, not the wars themselves.

Each and every post about this says something like 'fighters for freedom'.
Now I know this is the USA and you are all brainwashed and repeat state propaganda, but what effing 'freedom' did these ppl fight for? The freedom of the USA to kill at will?

Can you at least TRY and think for yourself?

The Freedom thing is bullshit, I agree. I've lost friends cause they saw the military as a way out of poverty. There's a lot more nuance to this than what you're trying to argue.
