I was leaving Ft Benning to get stationed in Europe when it happened. I remember there were very few of my fellow soldiers calling for revenge. They just wanted to get the hostages free. And it was suspected by all of how Regan screwed Carter. If I remember Bush Sr had a lot to do with it.
