I remember it was a somewhat popular opinion that Dr. Eggman had become a joke by Shadow 05 and Sonic 06, and people were really happy that Eggman was made the final boss in Colors Wii, but in hindsight, Eggman didn't become a joke villain until that game. (Cont.)

(Cont.) Dr. Eggman is actually the source of a lot of discourse. People claim he should always be 100% serious, but he was only ever like that in Sonic Adventure 2. In most other games, he's at least somewhat goofy. I mean, in Japan, his name was always Eggman. (Cont.)
