"Fox doesn't act like himself in the Galaxy movie!"

Just say you only know Fox from Smash because yes, he DOES.

He can be arrogant, he can be goofy, none of this is out of character for him for anyone who's actually played these games before

The scene of him talking badly about Slippy's tech still odd, he's not usually that rude with his buds, feels more like something Falco would say.

Counterpoint, it was a snarky off handed comment when recounting the story to Peach and Toad.

Even if you look his wording, he knows neither party knows who Slippy is which is why he didn't call Slippy by name when recounting the story to those two.

Smash Onlys aren't ready for the reality of the fact that Fox is a strong leader who is also snarky and chasing the next best paying gig for him and his team.

TL:DR Fox is more comparable to a character like Dante than he is someone like Snake in terms of his personality.
