Not to disagree with the overall notion but… Mary Rose sank due to poor communication amongst crew. The cannon crews hadn’t finished resetting by the time she began to bank, which cause the flooding that sank her. At least, that’s what I remember from the Mary Rose exhibits when I last visited.
