Four years ago I woke up at 5 am from distant explosions. I asked my boyfriend if he heard them too, he said he didn’t and I should go back to sleep. I tried to calm myself down, went on the internet, it was silent, no news or explanations.

This is gorgeous!

Your story reminds me of a similar thing that happened to me about 15 years ago. An hour later I found out it was an earthquake - in New Jersey! - but at the time I wondered if I’d had a medical episode or something.

This is an incredible image...and I'm sorry you've had to see and experience the things that inspired it.

I told myself that those were just some weird street noises. Half an hour later I woke up again from the same noses, but louder. This time, there were news: russia launched a full scale invasion.

In these 4 years I’ve felt layers of fear, hatred and sorrow I never thought were possible. The war completely changed my perception of the world and justice, it forced me to reevaluate everything in my life and everything I believed in.

That's an unnerving image but the short story with it is equally unnerving! Excellent work

Your story and work are chilling and inspiring. I'm sorry for the collective global inability to defend your world from the gross work of charlatans and monsters, and I hope Ukraine is able to find a lasting peace soon.

I don't think there has been a day in the last 4 years where I haven't thought about what is happening in Ukraine and the terror inflicted on its people.

Ukraine will win this war, but it's up to Russia to decide how long the suffering will go on.

Stay strong. Love from Denmark.

I had that same explosion thing happen during the pandemic in Philly. It was just kids using explosives to open ATMs.

Recently an earthquake hit nearby my country, so at the dead of night ,i felt it, this was my first time experiencing this, Because where I live, we've never felt an earthquake at all, that night filled me with fear, thinking what's happening to my country, even now I feel a omen looming above me
