White Soccer Mom: Why are the kids out of school on Tuesday, anyway?

Me: Lunar New Year.

WSM: What's that?

Me: It's sometimes called "Chinese New Year" but a lot of Asian cultures celebrate it.

WSM: So how come MY culture doesn't get a special day off from school?
