there are a lot of reasons for why americans don’t protest, and most of them are ideological and material in a way that is uncomfortable for american to hear. you aren’t uniquely oppressed by police, you are uniquely propagandized and uniquely complicit.

That's honestly the gringo talking point that blows my mind the most. In their heart of hearts, no matter how many schools they blow up, bombs they sell to genocidal states, or dictatorships they prop up, they think their soldiers are good guys.
