2. On Tuesday, Judge Chris Taylor defeated Judge Maria Lazar in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race by 20 points, the largest margin in 26 years by any justice. The race is significant because Lazar ran on a heavily anti-trans ad strategy, reminiscent of the strategy used by some Republicans in 2024.

3. When conservatives attacked Taylor's pro-LGBTQ+ record, she did not disavow or distance herself from it. Despite the ads, Taylor won by a historic margin, following two other Wisconsin Supreme Court races in recent years where anti-trans ad strategy was a major part of the losing campaign.

The Nazi GOP don’t care if they lose these type of races. The goal is to normalize transphobia and get the general public to hate us so much that when they call for us to be executed, the general public will applaud. They’re playing the long game and counting on trump staying in power way past 2028

In the last year, I’ve notice more hostility and unfriendliness in retail stores and a restaurant I used to frequent. The restaurant got clocked after long time.
The attitude and mood changed. In retail stores, it’s cis women that are cold and distant. Surprisingly cis men have been friendlier 🤷‍♀️

Did Chris Taylor avoid and evade the attacks while redirecting to other issues, or did he stand firm against them?

Yet Ezra Klein and others would have you believe defending trans issues is what led to the 2024 loss. I hope that talking point finally dies for good

Defending trans rights is the morally just thing to do obv, though for voters and winning elections, no one really gives a shit about lgbt rights besides hardline progressives who will always vote democrat. It’s a losing strategy to back down from it because you’ll lose those voters and gain none

Our elite class and institutions may be dominated by transphobes, but when it’s up to the voters, to the real citizenry? Different story.
