I will agree that the 2017 film isn't that bad of an adaptation (certainly better than what happened to Dragon Ball a few years prior or Death Note the same year this movie came out), but since then we've had better works based on anime like Alita: Battle Angel and One Piece

I do love that DB Evolution lead to James Marsters voicing DB Super Zamasu as a kinda apology for taking part in that mess lol

While James Marsters being in Dragon Ball Super is one reason the thank that God awful movie, that's not the biggest reason, it's so bad, it caused a domino effect that would lead to a resurgence of the franchise including the movies, Super, new games, Daima, and more
