This really was the point where Daiei moved into far more graphically intense & heavy theatrical themes in their tokusatsu films, and it's so damn cathartic 🔥

Something I had forgotten was just how incredibly attentive to historical detail they were in this film

There are very few period giant monster/kaiju pieces of media out there, so when they are it's such a joy to see how much of the focus is on getting the details as right as possible
