It's just that a lot of the time EDH players basically use the phrasing of "not interactive" to mean "didn't interact with me on the axis I wanted."

They roll up only prepared to interact through one very narrow slice of the game, combat, and then get mad when people try to interact with them in any other way because it makes it feel like all the game actions they took didn't matter.

They weren't prepared, and instead of that being a problem in their own deck building it's actually your fault for building a deck they weren't prepared to interact with.
