I meant like-
Do you know that over the other side you can "lock" your account, making it private? (You can also "unlock" the account and make it public)
That's what I meant by private accounts.
People use those for venting, or personal stuff.

Technically I think you could move those accounts to a certain PDS and make it invisible.
Something like that could maybe be a solution for the feature "private" account you are looking for.
It's not integrated as a button, however u could move manually or create a second account.

Anyway, I'm not sure if you could "hide" already published content.

Private is not the same as "paused" , is it?
Private in that sense of visible to friends only for example?

There's really no support for private data in the protocol right now – moving to a separate PDS wouldn't help as it's publicly readable anyhow
