Sometimes, I wonder if large media outlets focus on bad news to drown out news exactly like this. We ignore our victories and hyperfixate on our defeats by design because God forbid we acknowledge our POWER!

Collective action can work for us if we just do it!

Unfortunately, conservative groups like Sinclair have a stranglehold over the majority of local media markets.

I live in Seattle. The framing of crime here is wild. I should feel unsafe, according to most media. Unfortunately for them, I have the experience of living in Alabama for much of my life.

By design! They don't elevate and investigate positive news with the same voracity because there's too much of a chance that it could encourage the kind of mass mobilization that topples power structures.
