One thing I will say for bounded accuracy in 5e is that it enforced a sort of quasi-realism of outcomes that lead to one of my favorite things I ever said to a player:
"Yeah, you could kill anyone in this town, but you can't kill π¦π·π¦π³πΊπ°π―π¦ in this town."
"Yeah, you could kill anyone in this town, but you can't kill π¦π·π¦π³πΊπ°π―π¦ in this town."
