BREAKING: Police unlawfully arrest Elizabeth Morley, aged 80, under the Terrorism Act.

Whilst being taken away for peacefully holding a sign in support of Palestine Action, she says the mass arrests are a "very stupid thing to do".

Since it is, as I understand it, the duty of the police to enforce the law,

and the ban has been found to be unlawful,

what on earth do they think they are doing?

What do their senior officers and Police & Crime Commissioner have to say? It's indefensible and inexcusable.

The officers need to be arrested and those that ordered them to do this illegal kidnapping.

Do the hearts of the people in yellow swell with pride when they explain to their grandmothers what they do for a living?

My guess is that she knew what she was letting herself in for. Regardless of the state of play with the appeal by the Home Office , PA is still a banned organisation. When it isn't banned, (which is likely) people won't be arrested. Until then , this is nothing to do with Palestine.

The Appeal is at the end of this month. I hope that the UK has not been corrupted like the US and the result of the Appeal have already been arranged. If the Appeal fails, then all these wrongful arrests will merit compensation?

If ukgov create a statute with power of arrest, it’s not unlawful. Hopefully the courts will find the decision to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation wrong.
The expressions on the faces of the officers tells you who is doing the walk of shame, but ukgov is the real disgrace.

Clearly the moral compass of the police is pointing in the wrong direction (as it always has in my opinion) - shame on this government and shame on those within the police that are unconscionable!
