I do NOT think it's a coincidence that these "unpleasant" meetings are happened as

1) Pope Leo is openly telling Americans the Iran War is immoral and they should call Congress, asking them to stop it, and

2) He is looking at the sexual abuse and political influence of Opus Dei ⤵️

They liked it when the Popes were totally focused on abortion and homosexuality. These recent Popes, Francis and Leo, who talk about peace, about the dignity of immigrants, and about helping poor people, threaten to drive a wedge between Catholics and MAGA.
