#BirdOfTheDay theme is #FeedingTime. This is from last Spring - a White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) feeding a juvenile.

The White-throated Dipper is the national bird of Norway, although this one was in the UK.

Such a busy bird, and my companion when fly fishing on the river.

We had them on the River Alyn at Rossett in North Wales. They would sit on the water line and bob in and out of the water. They're very entertaining birds to watch.

We love when spring comes. We have eight feeders in the back and the babies make quite a ruckus when hungry.

I remember seeing an adult dipper hunting around the rocks in the river Coquet several years ago. Great little bird!

Love how the juveniles appear bigger than their parents because of all the down feathers! ๐Ÿฅฐ

I also saw two on the Esk River in midlothian a few weeks ago. First time I've been able to identify one

National Bird of Norway?!? Norway is now on my bucket list! Ouzels are my favorite birds - we hang out together at rivers and waterfalls. Anytime I see an ouzel, I know it's a good day to be alive.

This is part of a trailhead sign where I like hike/swim.

I learned to call them Water Ouzels too. Seen them walking on the rocky stream bed. So cool.

My 14 mo granddaughter has developed a fascination with birds. I donโ€™t know why. With my son at that age it was dinosaurs, so I guess weโ€™re evolving. Thanks for all the photos on Bluesky. I enjoy sharing them with her. She especially likes these ones of โ€œbirbsโ€ kissing. They make her so happy.
