It's very likely the bluetooth device stopped working, which is why they had to go the 'forget device' route so they could attempt to re-pair it to begin with. I recommend double checking if bluetooth is turned on. It could be part of the WiFi adapter and if WiFi gets turned off, BT turns off too.
